3-ingredients Apple Spice Cake

A three-ingredient apple spice cake with a decadent frosting that your family will surely love! This easy treat comes together in a heartbeat. An easy-to-eat dessert, perfectly sweet stuffed with fresh apples. Serve with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Enjoy every bite and have a blast with this apple spice cake.

Ingredients

1 spice cake mix, I used Duncan Heinz
1 – 21 oz can apple pie filling – I chopped the slices up a bit
3 Eggs

FROSTING:

5 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp milk
1 1/2 c confectioners’ sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

How to make 3-ingredients Apple Spice Cake

Step 1: Ready the oven. Preheat it to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 3: Slice the apples into inch pieces.

Step 4: Combine the 3 eggs, cake mix, and chopped apples in a medium mixing bowl until incorporated and the mixture has thickened.

Step 5: Shift and evenly spread the batter into the prepared cake pan.

Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.

Step 7: For the frosting, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Step 8: Stir in the brown sugar and salt until well mixed.

Step 9: Pour in the milk and bring to a boil.

Step 10: Once done, take the pan out of the heat and place the frosting into a small mixing bowl. Allow cooling for at least 10 minutes.

Step 11: Then, stir in the vanilla and confectioners’ sugar until incorporated.

Step 12: Spread the frosting immediately over the entire cake.
