I made this banana first on our 5th wedding Anniversary. My husband loves banana bread, so I thought of dressing our usual loaf. He loved it instantly, and it became his new favourite banana bread! Moist, perfectly sweet, and super delicious! This banana bread is so addicting and always gets rave reviews! A must-try and forever a keeper! Give this a try very soon. Ingredients
1 stick butter or 8 tbsp or 1/2 c. melted
2 Eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 c. sour cream
1/2 c. white granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 medium-sized bananas mashed
Swirl
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts), Optional
1/2 c. brown sugar
Drizzle Topping:
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 c. powdered sugar
3 tbsp milk more or less
HOW TO MAKE THE BEST BANANA BREAD EVER
Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
Step 2: In a separate bowl, place the melted butter, sugar, sour cream, eggs, bananas, and vanilla extract. Using a spoon, stir the ingredients until incorporated.
Step 3: Add the melted butter mixture into the flour mixture and stir well using the same spoon.
Step 4: Into a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan, pour the batter, and swirl.
Swirl:
Step 5: Mix the Swirl ingredients, then spread it over the banana batter. Swirl it into the batter using a knife.
Step 6: Place the pan in a preheated 350 degrees oven and bake the loaf for about 65 to 70 minutes. Note that the baking time depends on your oven.
Step 7: When done, take the loaf from the oven and allow it to cool before you drizzle the topping over it.
Drizzle Topping:
Step 8: Combine the drizzle topping ingredients until well combined, then drizzle it over the cooled banana bread. Enjoy!
