This best-ever Pepper Steak recipe is made of thinly sliced tender beef with red and green crispy bell peppers glazed in a savoury sauce. INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
4 teaspoons packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon freshly minced ginger
Cooked white rice, for serving

How to Make the Best-Ever Pepper Steak

Step 1: To make the sauce, add the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch in a medium bowl. Whisk well and set aside.

Step 2: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the flank steak and season with salt. Sear both sides for about 8 minutes or until cooked through. When done, remove the cooked steak from the skillet and onto a plate.

Step 3: Add the rest of 1 tbsp oil into the skillet. Saute the reg and green bell peppers for about 4 minutes. Add in the garlic and ginger and saute until fragrant.

Step 4: Add the cooked beef back to the skillet and pour on top the prepared sauce. Continue to cook for another 2 minutes, stirring until the sauce is glossy.

Step 5: Once done, serve the pepper steak with rice. Enjoy!
