You’ll have this zesty one-pan meal on your dinner table in under 20 minutes! Bursting with cajun flavour and packed with shrimps, sausage, and bell peppers, this lovely dish is perfect for a keto-friendly diet.
Ingredients
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
½ C Sliced Red Onion
1 C Sliced Red Bell Pepper
1 C Sliced Yellow Bell Pepper
1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
2 Teaspoons Cajun Seasoning or more to taste
1 pound Smoked Cooked Chicken Sausage such as andouille
½ pound Shrimp peeled and deveined
¼ C Chicken Broth
2 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
1 Tablespoon Chopped Parsley
How to make Cajun Shrimp Sausage Skillet
Step 1: In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Step 2: Once the oil is hot, add the onion and bell peppers. Cook for about 4 to 5 minutes or until soft. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds more.
Step 3: Season the vegetables according to taste. Remove them from the pan and keep warm.
Step 4: Into the pan, add the shrimp and sausage. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and season with salt and pepper.
Step 5: Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes until the shrimps are pink and opaque and the sausage is completely heated. Then, add the vegetables back to the pan.
Step 6: Pour in the chicken broth, then the lemon juice. Stir and simmer for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 7: Garnish with parsley and serve. Enjoy!
