I always brag this with everyone. A dish that keeps me grounded, and the reason why I gained so much weight during the quarantine. Not that I mind. They said, eat what you love, right. But of course, in moderation. But I was not able to contain my self. Mainly because it’s easy and quick, the ingredients are simple, and this mouthwatering dish is ready in under thirty minutes!

Everything I love in one! The combination of well-seasoned ground beef, bell peppers, tomatoes, and cabbage is simple yet satisfying. Serve this with rice or mashed potatoes to complete your meal.

1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp my house seasoning (equal parts garlic powder, onion powder and pepper combine and store in an airtight container)
10 oz can dice tomatoes with green chillies, not drained
3 c chopped cabbage
10 oz beef broth
1 c shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Step 1: Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until brown and greasy.

Step 2: Remove any excess grease before adding in the onion, garlic, bell pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and house seasoning. Stir until combined.

Step 3: Pour in the broth and add in the tomatoes until incorporated.

Step 4: Add the cabbage into the skillet.

Step 5: Cover and cook for about 20 to 25 minutes over medium heat until soft and tender.

Step 6: Remove the cover and stir in the cheese until well combined.

Step 7: Continue to cook for a few minutes or until the cheese has melted.

Step 8: Once done, take the skillet out of the oven and ladle over rice. Enjoy!
