What an awesome recipe! I never thought it would be this good. This Chow Chow is perfect with fried fish or chicken. Its sourness and saltiness complement well with the rest of the ingredients. You can also eat this as is. This is also perfect with salad. Eat this with fresh lettuce and some vegetables, man, it’s the best. I learned about this recipe last week with the help of my sister. She was the one that introduced me to this amazing recipe. It was love at first taste. I am a very health-conscious person so this caught my attention right away. I also love all the ingredients so as I was making it, I could almost taste how awesome it would be. Give this one try and I am 100 percent sure that you are gonna love it. It is something that you can brag to your friends about. Next time you have guests over, surprise them with the amazing taste of this North American Pickled Relish. INGREDIENTS

1 small cabbage, chopped
6 to 8 green or red tomatoes, chopped
6 medium bell peppers, chopped
6 large onions, chopped
2 hot peppers, chopped
3 cups of sugar
5 cups white vinegar
1/4 cup salt or pickling salt

HOW TO MAKE CHOW CHOW (North American Pickled Relish)

Step 1: In a large pot, place the chopped cabbage, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, hot peppers, sugar, white vinegar, and salt or pickling salt. Bring to boil.

Step 2: Once boiling, adjust the heat to low and continue cooking for another 20 to 25 minutes or until you reached your desired tenderness.

This recipe makes 8 to 9 pints but you can cut the recipe down for one-night dinner use. This relish is designed to be put in sealed pint jars.
