Creamy Burrito Casserole Recipe

This recipe is legit! I have never been in love with food before. This surely was love at first bite! I love how meaty and cheesy this meal is. With all the cheeses and meat in it, it is really hard to resist this incredible dish! I am sure that once you get a bite of this awesome Burrito Casserole, it will be hard not to eat a lot so be careful. It’s very addictive! Feel free to adjust the recipe with the number of people you will serve for. Be very generous with the cheese as well. It is the main star of this dish! Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

1 lb ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
1 package taco seasoning
6 large flour tortillas
1 can refried beans
2 – 3 cups shredded taco cheese or cheddar cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
4 ounces sour cream

How to make Creamy Burrito Casserole Recipe

Step 1: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Step 2: Add in the ground beef and cook until the color turns brown then add in the chopped onion. Saute until translucent.

Step 3: Remove the skillet from the heat.

Step 4: Add in the taco seasoning and refried beans. Stir until well-mixed.

Step 5: In a medium mixing bowl, add sour cream and soup. Stir until well-mixed.

Step 6: Transfer half of the sour cream mixture into a casserole dish. Spread in on the bottom.

Ste 7: Break 3 tortilla chips and sprinkle them on top of the sour cream mixture.

Step 8: Pour half of the meat and bean mixture on top then add 1 layer of cheese.

Step 9: Repeat the procedure until the casserole dish is full.

Step 10: Sprinkle cheese on top and place the casserole dish inside the preheated oven and bake for 20  to 30 minutes at 350 degrees F, uncovered or until the cheese has fully melted.

Step 11: Remove from the oven and let it sit on a wire rack to cool to room temperature or until warm.

Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
