Easy, delicious, and very simple! These three words best describe this French Lemon Tart! This is made from ingredients that I’m pretty sure you already have! The flavors in this tart are perfectly balanced. You are so in for a treat! In just 25 minutes, you can have the best dessert to serve today. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 sweet tart crust (or homemade pie crust, or store-bought 23cm / 9-inch sweet pie or tart crust)
LEMON TART FILLING:
12 tablespoons / 170 grams unsalted butter, cut into 1cm (1/2-inch) cubes
3 Egg yolks (from large-size eggs)
1/2 c lemon juice (from 1–2 lemons)
1 tablespoon lemon zest (1 lemon’s worth)
3 whole Eggs, large
3/4 c white sugar
Directions:
For the Tart Crust:
Refer to the directions provided on the package of the crust on how to prepare it. Let it cool at room temperature.
For the Lemon Tart Filling:
Prepare the oven and preheat it to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
In a saucepan, add all the ingredients for the tart. Whisk everything until well incorporated. Put it on the stove and turn the heat to medium-low. Whisk and cook for 5 minutes or until the texture becomes thick.
Remove the pan from the heat, then strain the tart with a fine mesh strainer into a mixing bowl.
Fill each tart shell with the tart and spread the top evenly. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 5 minutes or until done.
Remove the tart from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice into even servings. Top with lemon slices, raspberries, and edible flowers.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then put them in the fridge. They can last up to 4 days.
