Fried Pickles Recipe

by 247tasty

These crisp, dilled pickles are the perfect appetizer. Simple yet savory. A no-fuss recipe and a keeper.

This recipe is the quickest and easiest you can make in a short notice. All you need are five simple ingredients; dill pickles, beer, eggs, flour, and oil. Yes, you heard it right, beer but you can substitute beer with buttermilk if you are feeding the kids. All you need to do is first, slice the pickles not too thin and not too thick. Prepare the mixture to coat the pickles. Dip the pickles to coat them and fry. I serve these fried pickles with some Ranch Dressing and it is undeniably delicious! And this is done in less than five minutes. Easy peasy!

Ingredients

Dill Pickle Chips
3/4 to 1 cup of beer
2 eggs
1 – 2 cups of flour
Cholesterol free oil

How to make Fried Pickles Recipe

Step 1: In a large skillet, pour enough oil to cover about 1 to 2 inches of the pan. And heat the oil to 350 degrees.

Step 2: You need to strain the pickles using a small colander.

Step 3: Whisk the egg yolks and 3/4 cup of the beer in a mixing bowl. Then, season with salt and pepper.

Step 4: To form a batter, whisk in enough flour. And if the batter is too thick, you can add the rest of the beer to thin the batter.

Step 5: Use tongs to dip the pickles into the batter one at a time.

Step 6: Place the dipped pickles into the heated oil and fry for about 2 minutes. Then, flip the pickle and cook the other side for another minute.

Step 7: Once done, remove the pickles from the oil and transfer them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain the excess oil.

Step 8: Season the fried pickles with salt and serve with Ranch Dressing. Enjoy!
