This very easy and quick Homestyle Caramel Bread Pudding Recipe is such fun to make. Serve this as is or with vanilla bean ice cream for breakfast or dessert. And use a little or extra raisins if desired.

Ingredients
BREAD PUDDING:
2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
3 Eggs
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 cups bread, torn into pieces (any bread will work well or french bread or raisin bread)
1/4 cup raisins
SAUCE:
1 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon flour
dash(es) salt
How to make Homestyle Caramel Bread Pudding
Step 1: Heat milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
Step 2: Add the butter to the pan and constantly stir until the butter is melted. Set aside.
Step 3: Add the sugar, eggs, cinnamon, and vanilla in a different container. Mix well before gradually adding in the milk mixture. Set aside.
Step 4: In a casserole dish, add the torn pieces of bread.
Step 5: Pour the batter over, then sprinkle the raisins on top.
Step 6: Place inside the oven and bake for about 45 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees F or until set.
TO MAKE THE SAUCE:
Step 1: In a saucepan, combine the whole milk, softened butter, sugar, vanilla extract, flour, and dashes of salt. Bring to a boil while constantly stirring.
Step 2: Allow the sauce to set for several minutes before you pour this over the warm bread pudding.
