Bursting with honey-garlic flavour, this delicious Chinese-style dish sure to impress the crowd. Simple, not fussy, and ready in thirty minutes! Serve this over rice for a full meal that your whole family will love and enjoy! This sure is a wonderful dish to share with everybody!
Ingredients
3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 c honey
1/3 c soy sauce
1/3 c onion, diced
1/4 c ketchup
2 tbsp vegetable oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 c water
Sesame seeds & green onion for topping
Rice for serving
How to make Instant Pot Honey Garlic Chicken
Step 1: In the bottom of the Instant Pot, add the chicken and season with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Combine the honey, soy sauce, onion, ketchup, oil, and garlic in a small bowl. And pour this over the chicken.
Step 3: Put the lid on and seal.
Step 4: Set to meat setting or on High pressure for non IP for about 15 minutes. When done, quick release, then take the chicken out of the pot.
Step 5: In a small bowl, dissolve 3 tsp cornstarch with 1/4 cup water and add this to the Instant Pot. Stir well.
Step 6: Press the Saute button and cook the sauce for about 5 minutes or until a bit thickened.
Step 7: Slice the chicken into small pieces and place back into the pot. Toss to coat.
Step 8: Before serving, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Best serve over rice. Enjoy!
