This lovely Italian Stuffed shell is perfect for date nights, simple get together, and for everyone! A no-fuss dish that takes no effort to make and is ready in a snap. Serve with a simple salad and french bread or breadsticks for an intimate or filling dinner with a date or family.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
15 ounces can crushed tomatoes
15 ounces can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
20 large shells
15 ounces ricotta cheese
1 Egg
4 ounces shredded Parmesan
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 c mozzarella cheese
How to make Italian Stuffed Shells
Step 1: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until completely cooked. Drain excess grease.
Step 2: Season the cooked ground beef with onion and garlic powder.
Step 3: Add the cans of tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes into the ground beef and simmer.
Step 4: Prepare the noodles. Cook as directed on the package. Once done, gently drain and set aside.
Step 5: Add the ricotta, egg, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well.
Step 6: Into a large casserole dish, spread a layer of meat sauce and set aside.
Step 7: Fill the noodles with the cheese mixture with a spoon. Do this until the rest of the shells are stuffed.
Step 8: Then, top the noodles with the rest of the meat sauce and sprinkle over the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Step 9: Place inside the oven and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees until the cheese has melted and bubbly.
