INGREDIENTS
1 lb box (4 c) Dixie Crystals Confectioners Powdered Sugar
2 tbsp + 1 tsp water
3/4 tsp mint extract
3 tbsp corn syrup
1/2 c dark chocolate flavoured coating
How to make Mint Patties
Step 1: Add the sifted powdered sugar in a machine bowl fitted with a paddle attachment or in a regular bowl.
Step 2: Mix the water, mint, and corn syrup and add to the powdered sugar. Beat on low speed or mix with your hands until a smooth dough forms.
Step 3: Make into tablespoon-size balls and place on parchment or cookie sheets lined with plastic food film.
Step 4: Then, press the balls into a 1/4-inch thick patty using the bottom of a glass.
Step 5: Follow the package directions to melt about half a cup of the chocolate-flavoured coating.
Step 6: Spread a thin coat of melted chocolate coating with your fingers on each patty.
Step 7: Let the coating set before turning the patties over to coat the other side.
Step 8: Meth the rest of the chocolate coating.
Step 9: Add a patty in the melted coating, flipping upside-down with a candy fork or regular fork to coat. Lift and allow the excess coating to drip before transferring the coated patties on parchment or a countertop lined with a plastic food film or cookie sheet.
Step 10: To make an attractive design, quickly place the prongs of a fork on the surface of each patty.
