MOM’S FAMOUS CREAM PUFFS

These fabulous cream puffs are perfect with a cup of tea. Or a freshly brewed coffee if you are me. I love how these cream puffs are light and airy. And they are fun to make not to mention easy and quick. A simple treat that looks like royalty and tastes magnificent! Whenever I have guests, I serve them these homemade cream puffs and they never fail to compliment how pretty and perfectly sweet this treat is. And the secret to all of these is the heavenly filling. A three-ingredient filling that makes these cream puffs stand out among the rest. The rich and decadent filling of these cream puffs is what makes this treat famous. These treats you can make a day ahead. Which is excellent if you have guests coming over early. Drizzle these puffs with chocolate or serve as is. No matter what, this is going to be awesome!

INGREDIENTS

1 stick butter (8 tablespoons)
1 cup of water
1 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
1 cup flour

MOM’S FAMOUS FILLING:

1-pint heavy cream
1 package (3.4 OUNCES) instant vanilla pudding
⅓ cup milk

HOW TO MAKE MOM’S FAMOUS CREAM PUFFS

Step 1: Bring to a boil the butter, water, and vanilla.

Step 2: Then, add in the flour while stirring continuously until the mixture leaves the sides of the pot and forms a ball.

Step 3: Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

Step 4: Beat in 4 eggs, a piece at a time until smooth.

Step 5: Onto parchment-lined cookie sheets, drop a tablespoon of the batter.

Step 6: Place inside the oven and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes at 400 degrees.

Step 7: Remove from the oven and let the puffs cool.

Step 8: To make the filling: In a mixing bowl, beat the cream, pudding powder, and milk until you get a consistency of whipped cream.

Step 9: Slice the puffs in half and spoon or pipe the filling in the middle.

Step 10: Then, dust each puffs with powdered sugar.

Step 11: Serve and enjoy!
