Overnight Blueberry French Toast

This recipe will take almost 1 whole day to prepare and bake I assure you that is worth it! I am sure that you haven’t tried anything like this before. All you need to do is to follow these steps to guide you to perfection. Invite your family and friends and let them taste how awesome this French toast is. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

12 slices day-old bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 cup fresh blueberries
12 eggs, beaten
2 cups of milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup of water
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 tablespoon butter

How to make Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Step 1: Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Add half of the bread cubes into the baking dish and arrange them then top with the cream cheese cubes.

Step 3: Add 1 cup of blueberries n top of the cream cheese and spread it evenly then sprinkle the rest of the bread cubes.

Step 4: Add milk, eggs, syrup, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well-mixed.

Step 5: Add the bread cubes then cover.

Step 6: Place inside the fridge overnight.

Step 7: Remove from the fridge and allow it to warm for 30 minutes before baking.

Step 8: Ready the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 9: Cover the mixing bowl and place inside the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.

Step 10: Remove the cover and bake for another 25 to 30 minutes or until the middle part of the toast is lightly brown and firm.

Step 11: Add water, cornstarch, and sugar in a medium saucepan.

Step 12: Place the saucepan on the stove and bring it to a boil. Stir and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Step 13: Add in the rest of the blueberries and stir.

Step 14: Reduce the heat and allow it to simmer for 10 minutes or until the blueberries cooked then add the butter and stir.

Step 15: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Pour the mixture over the French toast.

Step 16: Serve and enjoy!
