Ruth’s Grandma’s Pie Crust

The easiest, simplest, and most awesome pie ever! This pie has been a part of my life since I was just a little kid. My grandma made this all the time. I never thought that you only need 6 basic ingredients to make such an amazing pie. I just recently learned how to make this because of the internet! My grandma is very old now so I always make sure that she knows I appreciated every single thing she did for me. Today, I decided to make this Ruth’s Grandma’s Pie Crust to remind her of the good old days! I hope she likes it. By the way, feel free to give it your twist. IF you feel like adding chocolate chips or white chocolate, feel free to do so. I highly recommend that you make it your recipe. This recipe is very basic but It’s perfect yet, if you wish to make it more perfect, then, by all means, do it. invite your friends and family over and enjoy this pie with them! INGREDIENTS

4 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 cups shortening
3 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 egg
1/2 cup water

How to make Ruth’s Grandma’s Pie Crust

Step 1: Add the sugar, shortening, salt, and all-purpose flour in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well-mixed.

Step 2: Use a pastry cutter to blend the ingredients until it becomes crumbly.

Step 3: In a separate bowl, pour water and crack the egg. Stir until well-mixed.

Step 4: Transfer the egg and water mixture into the first bowl. Beat until all the ingredients are well blended.

Step 5: Place the bowl inside the fridge to chill for at least 1 hour.

Step 6: Serve cold and enjoy!
