SIMPLE OLD FASHIONED GOULASH RECIPE

This easy dish is pretty convenient, not-fussy, easy on the wallet, and quick. Don’t underestimate the punch of exciting flavours of this lovely goulash. If desired, you can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey, ground chicken, or even your favourite Italian sausage.

INGREDIENTS

1 pound Elbow macaroni
2 pounds Ground beef
1/2 Onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
28 ounces Tomato sauce
20 ounces diced tomatoes
2 teaspoons Oregano
1 teaspoon Basil
1/4 teaspoon Rosemary
1 teaspoon Parsley
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Paprika
1 c Cheddar cheese

HOW TO MAKE SIMPLE OLD FASHIONED GOULASH

Step 1: Cook the macaroni in boiling salted water for about 4 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Into a skillet, add the ground beef and onions. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently until cooked through.

Step 3: Stir in the garlic and Worcestershire sauce.

Step 4: Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and the rest of the spices into the skillet. Stir well.

Step 5: Add in the cooked macaroni, decrease the heat, stir, and allow to simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes or until the pasta is cooked and the flavours combined.

Step 6: If desired, stir in the cheese and let it melt.

Step 7: Serve and enjoy!

NOTE:

For a healthier variety, use ground turkey or ground chicken instead.
