SLOW COOKER BROWN SUGAR KIELBASA BITES

by 247tasty

If you ask me what’s my go-to appetizer, I’ll say without blinking it is the brown sugar kielbasa bites. But it’s not only a great appetizer but a delicious snack too. This is pretty easy to make, either in a slow cooker or stovetop and what’s great is you need only 3 ingredients. Beware though, it’s super addictive! Yesterday was my youngest child’s birthday. I baked his favorite chocolate cake and we surprised him with balloons and all but his face lit up when he saw this kielbasa bites over the table. He hugged me and thanked me for the surprise! Such a sweet little boy.

This is usually an appetizer but I sometimes eat it with rice and pasta. It is the best! I don’t know if you are going to like it but give it a try. It’s not going to disappoint you. As perfect as it is, we sometimes need to spice things up to see if it goes well with other food. By the way, I recommend you add chili powder and be very generous! Chilli takes it to the next level. It goes well with beer too! Yeah, it does! Cold beer and Kielbasa bites. That is gonna be the new trend! Just kidding. Anyway, enjoy it!

INGREDIENTS

2 lbs Kielbasa, sliced into bite-sized pieces
3/4 cup cola
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)

HOW TO MAKE SLOW COOKER BROWN SUGAR KIELBASA BITES

Step 1: Add the bite-sized Kielbasa, cola, brown sugar, and chili powder into a 3-quart slow cooker. Mix to combine.

Step 2: Cook on low for six hours, covered. And on high for three hours. Make sure to stir occasionally. Serve warm and enjoy!

This recipe can be prepared on a stovetop too. Just combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 15 to 30 minutes over medium heat.
