Strawberry Banana Poke Cake

Calling all the strawberry and banana lovers out there! This cake is for you. It is topped with banana pudding, frozen whipped cream, and layers of fresh bananas and strawberries. Yum! It is super fun to make! And you’ll love the rich banana pudding and fresh strawberries. What more can you ask for? Bring this to a potluck and I am sure it’ll be raining praises! This cake is very unique, fresh, and easily pleases the crowd. My friends refer to this cake as “pretty in pink” with delicious fruit flavors. A popular poke cake that is whipped to perfection! You don’t need to be a pro at baking to be able to pull off this kind of dessert. It is pretty simple to make with only a few basic ingredients. Surprise your kids, friends, or guests with this Strawberry Banana Poke Cake and I am sure that they’ll go gaga over this pretty and scrumptious cake.

INGREDIENTS

1 (13.25 oz.) box strawberry cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup (1 stick unsalted butter), melted
1 cup whole milk
2 (3.4 oz.) box instant banana pudding mix
4 cups cold whole milk
4 bananas, thinly sliced
1-pint strawberries, thinly sliced

How to make Strawberry Banana Poke Cake

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish lightly with a non-stick spray.

Step 3: Beat the cake mix, eggs, melted butter, and a cup of milk in a large bowl. Mix well until the mixture is smooth.

Step 4: Empty the batter into the prepared baking dish. Place inside the oven and bake according to package instructions.

Step 5: Meanwhile, whisk the pudding with 4 cups of cold milk.

Step 6: Once the cake is done, remove from the oven and poke holes 2 inches apart using the back of a wooden spoon.

Step 7: Pour the pudding over the cake.

Step 8: Place inside the fridge to set.

Step 9: Once the pudding is set, top the cake with a thick layer of frozen whipped topping.

Step 10: Garnish with sliced strawberries and banana before serving. Enjoy!
