SUGAR DONUTS FROM CANNED BISCUITS

With canned biscuits and cinnamon sugar, these doughnuts are the easiest and simplest you can make ever!

When you have kids who love anything sweet, you probably understand why I always have recipes like this. Easy, quick, and easy on the wallet. This four-ingredient sugar doughnuts from canned biscuits have always been my go-to. Super simple to make, not fussy, and the kids enjoy every bite! Canned buttermilk biscuits, sugar, and cinnamon are the only ingredients you need to make these lovelies. And you don’t need a degree to even pull this off, plus this takes only a heartbeat to make!

Doughnuts are my kid’s favourite treat, they want them more than pancakes for breakfast. They adore all sorts of doughnuts. I always have canned buttermilk biscuits in the fridge so it is so much easier. And the other ingredients are all pantry essential so it’s so much better. You can decorate these doughnuts with homemade cinnamon sugar, or dip them in melted chocolates, or make a glaze. Either way, these doughnuts are amazing as is!

Ingredients

8 oz can buttermilk biscuits
1/2 c granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 c cooking oil

HOW TO MAKE SUGAR DONUTS FROM CANNED BISCUITS

Step 1: Heat cooking oil in a small skillet over medium heat.

Step 2: In a shallow dish, add the cinnamon and sugar.

Step 3: Divide the biscuits. Use a cookie cutter to slice an inch hole in the centre.

Step 4: Fry the 4 pieces of biscuits into the hot oil on until golden brown.

Step 5: Coat the fried biscuits into the cinnamon and sugar mixture.

Step 6: Place the coated biscuits on a clean plate and allow them to cool at room temperature.

Note:

In place of the granulated sugar, use plain white sugar instead.
