Ingredients

3-3 ½ pounds thick cut top sirloin steaks cut into bite-size pieces
Olive oil
¼ c. teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1 tablespoon corn starch
1 teaspoon sesame seed oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 large green bell pepper seeded and thinly sliced (Or a poblano pepper)
1 large onion sliced into ¼” wedges

How to make Teriyaki Steak Bites with Green Pepper and Onion

Step 1: Into about 3/4-inch bite-size cubes, slice the steak.

Step 2: Add the teriyaki, brown sugar, corn starch, sesame seed oil, garlic powder, garlic salt, and red pepper flakes in a small mixing bowl. Whisk well until combined, and the brown sugar and cornstarch are fully dissolved. Pour this over the steaks and toss to evenly coat the cubes.

Step 3: Drizzle with olive oil a 12-inch large skillet and heat over high heat. Add the steak bites in batches to the skillet once the oil is hot and fry both sides for about 4 to 6 minutes in total, flipping the bites as needed. To prevent the bites from burning, adjust the heat to medium-high as needed. You can set the cooking time to your preferred doneness.

Step 4: Transfer the cooked steak bites to a platter and keep them warm until the remaining steak bites are cooked. Between batches, add extra olive oil as needed.

Step 5: To the skillet, saute the green pepper and onion for about 2 to 3 minutes until crisp-tender over medium-high. If needed, adjust the salt. Note that the drippings left in the pan will season the veggies. Now, return the cooked steak bites to the skillet and stir.
