The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

by Sheryl

Spectacular, beautiful, and best-rolled sugar cookies. I have been making these cookies, particularly during holidays. Put them in a cute box or jar and give them away to family and friends. My kids are always looking forward to it. I let them help me design the cookies and it’s a nice way to bond and catch up. I make the icing by combining confectioners’ sugar and milk, mix them well to get a fairly thin mixture. Thin enough to easily spread on cookies but not too thin because it’ll make the cookies wet and the icing runs off. I use a pastry brush to paint the icing on the cookies. It is really fun and you get to be creative. When making these cookies I feel like a master cookie maker and a child at the same time. Soft, sugary, pretty rolled sugar cookies for all ages! The quickest and easiest cookie recipe you’ll ever make.
