Toasted Italian Sandwich – Food Fun Friday

It’s Friday and I’ll be making our fun food Friday – Toasted Italian Sandwich! If you love Italian dishes as I do, I am pretty sure you’ll enjoy this sandwich. It’s super easy to make made with just a few simple ingredients. This sandwich has been my favourite and go-to lunch, even dinner served with a simple side salad or grilled protein.

I noticed that Italian recipes have been around lately. I have read so many blogs, and there is none that I’ve read without one or more Italian recipes. This on-the-go sandwich is another treasure to keep. With authentic Italian flavour, this sure will be a huge hit around the table! The best thing about this recipe is not only the flavour, but it’s pretty versatile, too! Make this today, and I guarantee you’ll enjoy every bite!

Ingredients

1 Ciabatta roll
1 tbsp pesto sauce
1 tbsp chopped sun-dried tomatoes
Sliced mozzarella 2 slices
3 slices Oscar Mayer Deli Fresh Smoked Ham
1 slice Oscar Mayer Old World Style Classic Salami
1 slice Oscar Mayer Old World Style Cracked Black Pepper Salami
1 slice Oscar Mayer Old World Style Classic Pepperoni
1 slice Oscar Mayer Old World Style Turkey Pepperoni

How to make Toasted Italian Sandwich

Step 1: In half, slice the ciabatta roll. For a couple of minutes, toast each half until the edges begin to brown a little.

Step 2: On the top slice of the roll, spread the pesto sauce. On the bottom, spread the sun-dried tomatoes. On top, layer the smoked ham, salami, black pepper salami, pepperoni, turkey pepperoni, and mozzarella slices.

Step 3: For a couple of minutes, toast the bottom half of the sandwich to warm the meats and melt the cheese. Skip toasting the pesto side.

Step 4: To serve, slice the sandwich in half and serve right away. Enjoy!
