Ingredients

1 1/2 lb lean ground beef, chicken or pork
1 tbsp oil
1 large onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 c quick-cooking rice
1 small cabbage, chopped
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes
1 can (8 ounces) plain tomato sauce
3/4 c water
1 tsp each salt and pepper

HOW TO MAKE UNSTUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS

Step 1: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2: Once the oil is hot, add and cook the ground meat and onion until brown and translucent.

Step 3: Stir in the garlic and rice for a minute more.

Step 4: Add and stir the tomato sauce, tomato, salt, and pepper until well mixed.

Step 5: Then, add in the chopped cabbage and pour in the water. And bring the mixture into a boil.

Step 6: Place the meat and rice mixture into a slow cooker and cook at 300 degrees F or 150 degrees C, covered for about 2 to 3 hours.
