CRUNCHY BAKED PORK CHOPS

Crunchy pork chops that are tender and juicy inside. These crunchy baked pork chops are the best dinner you can throw together in a snap using only pantry ingredients. Serve these flavorful pork chops with your favorite side dish for a quick and tasty meal perfect for your entire family!

INGREDIENTS

1 large egg, lightly beaten
4 boneless pork chops, about 1” thick
1/4 tsp black pepper
2/3 c. Panko breadcrumbs
3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Kosher salt and black pepper

HOW TO MAKE CRUNCHY BAKED PORK CHOPS

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees. Using cooking spray, grease a baking sheet and set it aside.

Step 2: With salt and pepper, season all sides of the pork chops.

Step 3: In a shallow bowl, lightly whisk the egg.

Step 4: In another shallow bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with the rest of the ingredients.

Step 5: In the egg, dip the pork chop, coating all sides. Then, dredge into the breadcrumb mixture, covering all sides.

Step 6: On the prepared baking sheet, lay the breaded pork chops, pressing the extra breadcrumb mixture over each pork chop. Using cooking spray, drizzle the tops of the chops.

Step 7: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 18 to 25 minutes or until the internal temperature of the meat reaches 140 degrees. Take the pork chops out of the oven when done and allow them to rest for a couple of minutes before serving. Enjoy!

NOTES:

Adjust the cooking time depending on the thickness of the pork chops. You can cover the chops with aluminium foil if the tops are browning too quickly.

Omit the parsley if desired. This dish will turn out perfect without it.

I always use Panko breadcrumbs for that extra crunchy texture. Alternately, you can use regular bread crumbs (plain, not seasoned).

Feel free to add 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper to the breadcrumb mixture to add a bit of kick.
