by 247tasty

I freaking love this hot bean and cheese dip! It’s one of my most pride recipes for great reasons. Incredibly easy to whip up using simple ingredients and ready in no time. Made with cream cheese, chili beans, salsa, and cheese, then baked until bubbly and melty! My mouth is watering just by describing this delicious dip!

I have been experimenting with loads of recipes lately. I am on leave for a month and I planning to spend my time doing what I love most. First on my list is to cook/bake. To start, I’ve made my family’s favorite – hot bean and cheese dip. Enjoy this warm with tortilla chips and serve during movie nights or munching with family and friends.

Ingredients

2 green onions, chopped
1 8-ounces block of cream cheese, slightly softened
1 1/2 c. shredded Colby Jack cheese
1 16-ounces can of chili beans
tortilla chips for serving
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 c. salsa (I used mild, but you can use a spicier version if desired)

How to make Hot Bean & Cheese Dip

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.

Step 2: Into a thin layer, spread the cream cheese to the edges of an oven-safe dish. Then, spread the salsa on top.

Step 3: Pour off about 1 to 2 tbsp of the liquid from the chili beans. Then, add the chili beans and the sauce on top of the salsa.

Step 4: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the edges of the dip is hot and bubbly.

Step 5: When done, take the hot bean & a cheese dip from the oven and sprinkle over the cheese, green onions, and tomatoes.

Step 6: Serve the hot bean & cheese dip warm alongside your favorite tortilla chips. Enjoy!
