INGREDIENTS
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 tsp vegetable oil
1 onion, diced
1/4 c. ketchup
3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 (15 ounces) can of tomato sauce
1 (16 ounces) can of kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 (16 ounces) can butter beans, drained
1 (16 ounces) can of pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 (16 ounces) can of pork and beans
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
How to make Slow Cooker Calico Beans
Step 1: In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook for about 5 minutes until browned.
Step 2: Into a slow cooker, place the beef and the remaining ingredients. Cook for 4 to 5 hours on low.
Step 3: When done, serve the Calico Beans immediately with cornbread, rice, or bread. Enjoy!
