Grandma’s Old-Fashioned Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce!

This classic pudding recipe has only a few simple and homemade ingredients. Top with a butter sauce of vanilla. My childhood memories of this recipe are so vivid because it was the time when my grandmother visited us. Also, it was my first day of summer. My parents are working that day, and my grandmother was the only one with me. I learned from my grandmother, from being obedient and respectful towards others to dream without boundaries. She embodies to me that the only time I stop growing as a person is when I stop learning. That same day, she made this bread pudding that I like, I told her that it’s delicious and she smiled at me and said I told her that it’s delicious and she smiled at me and said because of love. I will never forget that, from that moment, I promise myself that I will recreate that recipe and serve this to the people whom I love, just like what my grandmother did.

Old Fashioned Grandma’s Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce, You will need the following ingredients to make this recipe:

Ingredients:

4 cups (8 slices) cubed white bread
1/2 cup raisins
2 cups of milk
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
(2) eggs, slightly beaten
1 tbsp vanilla
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Sauce Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tbsp vanilla

Directions:

1. Heat oven at about 350 degrees F.

2. In a large bowl, add and combine the bread and the raisins.

3. In a 1-quarter saucepan, combine the milk and 1/4 cup butter. Cook over medium heat until melted butter (4-7 minutes). Pour the mixture over the bread; enable to stand for 10 minutes.

4. Stir in all remaining ingredients in the pudding.

5. Pour into 1 1⁄2 quarter grated casserole.

6. Bake in the center for 40 to 50 minutes or until set.

7. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a 1-quarter saucepan except vanilla. Cook over medium heat, stir regularly and bring to a full boil (5-8 min) until the mixture is to thick.

8. Remove from oil, and mix in vanilla.

9. A spoon of warm pudding into individual dessert dishes to eat; eat with sauce. Store in the fridge.
