1 teaspoon coarse salt
1 ¾ cups brown sugar

HOW TO MAKE SALTED CARAMEL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Step 1: Ready the oven. Preheat it to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Add and whisk the baking soda, flour, and salt in a medium mixing bowl until incorporated.
Step 3: Add the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a different mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer to beat the mixture until completely mixed.
Step 4: Slowly add in the eggs and vanilla extract. Continue to beat until creamy.
Step 5: Add the flour mixture into the butter mixture and stir until incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Step 6: Split the dough and make them into balls. Add them to the prepared baking sheet an inch apart from each other.
Step 7: On top of each cookie, add 3 slices of caramel.
Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for about 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 9: Once done, allow to cool at room temperature before serving. Enjoy!
Note:
I prefer adding the caramels on top of the dough before baking. It looks much better than mixing it with the dough.
