Everyone love Snickerdoodle cookies! They are super easy and quick to make. Delicious and excellent to give as gifts.
Ingredients
Cookies:
1 ½ cups white sugar
1 cup softened butter
2 large eggs
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
Coating:
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
HOW TO MAKE GRANDMA RUTH’S SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES
Step 1: Ready the oven. Preheat it to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Use cooking spray to grease a baking sheet.
Step 3: Add the butter, eggs, and 1 1/2 cups of sugar in a medium mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer to beat until whipped.
Step 4: Mix the cream of tartar, baking soda, flour, and salt in a different mixing bowl until incorporated. Add this into the butter mixture and stir until well mixed.
Step 5: Combine the cinnamon with 2 tablespoons white sugar in a medium mixing bowl until well mixed.
Step 6: Out of the dough, make balls and coat each into the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Transfer the coated dough balls on a lined or greased baking sheet about 2-inches apart from each other.
Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for about 7 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 8: Once done, let the cookies sit in the oven for at least 5 minutes and onto a wire rack to fully cool before serving. Enjoy!
Notes:
1. For the best result, ensure to allow the cookies to sit in the oven for at least 5 minutes.
2. Place any leftovers in a resealable bag.
