Absolutely Outrageous Cheesy Garlic Bread

Cheesy, buttery, and rich, I think I’ve already found my favourite cheesy garlic bread! Easy and quick to whip up, this indulgent bread is surely a gem! Don’t skip on this simple recipe. It is the best!

INGREDIENTS

½ c. salted butter melted
1 loaf Italian or French bread about 400 grams, cut in half lengthwise
6 cloves garlic minced
1 c. mayonnaise
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1.5 c. mozzarella shredded
¼ tsp red pepper flakes
1 c. Parmesan freshly grated
2 tbsp fresh parsley a small handful (or more, to taste), chopped

How to Make Cheesy Garlic Bread

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F.

Step 2: In half lengthwise, slice the loaf of bread.

Step 3: On a cookie sheet, place one long sheet (at least 24 inches) of tin foil. On the tin foil, lay two halves of bread, cut-side up.

Step 4: In the microwave, melt the salted butter. Then, add the minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Set aside.

Step 5: Place the mayonnaise, mozzarella, and fresh parsley in a mixing bowl. Mix well and set aside.

Step 6: On both halves of the bread, spread the melted butter using a brush or spoon. Next, spread the mayonnaise mixture on each half. Ensure to spread the mixture to the edges of the bread. To cover the bread, pull the ends of the foil.

Step 7: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes. Open the tin foil and sprinkle the bread with the shredded Parmesan cheese. Return in the oven and resume baking for another 5 minutes or until the cheese has slightly golden and bubbly. Set the oven to broil in the last minute or two of baking if you prefer a crispier crust.

Step 8: Before cutting the cheesy garlic bread into slices, allow them to sit for a couple of minutes first. Serve the slices warm. Enjoy!
