All-in-One Sausage Dinner

If you are looking for another all-in-one dinner idea, then this sausage dinner is a must-try! Easily throw this together using your favourite Italian sausage with some veggies and yummy egg noodles. Mix and cook them in a very delicious, homemade sour cream sauce and serve them right away for a satisfying meal perfect for the entire family!

This recipe is not only very easy and quick to make. This is also very versatile. When I do not have Italian sausage, I use breakfast sausage and it is still amazing. Also, when I need to feed a big crowd, I can easily double the recipe. I read in one of the comments that they did not add the noodles to the skillet, yet they boil it and serve the sauce over the boiled noodles. I have not tried that yet since I am into all-in-one recipes. But I guarantee that it’ll be as fantastic!

Ingredients

1 c. chopped onion
1 lb hot or sweet Italian sausage, crumbled
1 (14-oz.) can diced tomatoes
1/2 lb. narrow or medium egg noodles
1 c. chopped green bell pepper
1 c. sour cream
1 tbsp sugar
1 c. water
1 tsp chilli powder
3/4 tsp salt

How to make All-in-One Sausage Dinner

Step 1: Place the sausage, onion, and green pepper in a large skillet. Cook over medium heat or until the sausage is brown and the onion has softened. When done, drain the excess grease.

Step 2: In the meantime, mix the tomatoes in a medium bowl with sour cream, water, sugar, chilli powder, and salt until well blended.

Step 3: Into the skillet, stir in the tomato mixture and noodles.

Step 4: Put the lid on and simmer everything for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the noodles are soft, stirring often.
