AVOCADO BREAKFAST SANDWICH

This is not your usual egg sandwich, it’s better! Classic meets alligator pear or butter fruit, commonly known as the avocado. Avocado is very versatile, and this fusion of the classic egg sandwich with avocado is a real game-changer. Pretty simple, easy, and quick breakfast sandwich with incredible flavours and texture in a mouthful!

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil
2 large eggs large eggs
1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 slices Italian bread
1-ounce Swiss cheese, sliced
1-ounce Cheddar cheese, sliced
½ ripe avocado, sliced

HOW TO MAKE AVOCADO BREAKFAST SANDWICH

Step 1: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Step 2: Once heated through, add the eggs and cook for about a minute. Turn the eggs over and continue to cook for 2 minutes more or until done.

Step 3: Place the cooked eggs on a clean plate. To taste, season with salt and pepper.

Step 4: Grab the slices of bread and brush them with butter on one side.

Step 5: In the same skillet, add the buttered slices of bread and heat over medium heat. Place the Swiss cheese followed by the Cheddar cheese, a piece of fried egg, and avocado on top of each bread. Top with another slice of buttered bread.

Step 6: Gently flip the sandwich and continue to cook for 3 minutes more or until toasted.

Step 7: When done, remove from the skillet and transfer on a clean plate. Slice the sandwich in two and serve. Enjoy!

Notes:

1. Add more ingredients to the sandwich if desired.

2. For this recipe, you are welcome to use your preferred bread and cheese.
