Baked Fish with Lemon Cream Sauce (One Baking Dish!)

Ingredients:

1–2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
50 grams / 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 c cream, heavy / thickened
Salt & pepper
4 x 150-180 grams / 5–6 ounce fish fillets, about 1.5cm / 1/2-inch thick, skinless and boneless
Fresh parsley and lemon slices, to serve
1 1/2 tablespoons eschalots (French onion), finely chopped

Directions:

Prepare the oven and preheat it to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.

Lay the fish fillets into a baking dish, then season them with salt and pepper.

In a heat-safe bowl, add salt, pepper, butter, lemon juice, cream, mustard, and garlic. Place in the microwave and heat until melted. Stir until well blended.

Scatter the shallots on top of the fish fillets followed by the sauce.

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake the fish fillets for about 10 to 12 minutes or until done.

Remove from the oven. Dish out!

Top each serving with the sauce and freshly chopped parsley.

Serve with lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy!

Notes:

Feel free to use any fish fillet for this recipe.

You can use evaporated milk if you prefer.

Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then put them in the fridge. Reheat for a few minutes before serving again.
