Soft and delicious banana bread chocolate chip cookies that are so impossible to resist! Nothing is more appealing than chocolate chip and banana bread combined. Nutty, fruity, soft, and delightful cookies that everyone will ask for over and over.
I shared this exact recipe with a friend and she made a business out of it. All adore this dessert and she said she received the same compliment every time. That this is the best banana bread chocolate chip cookies! And I couldn’t agree more. Even the kids are obsessed with this filling and perfectly sweet dessert.
2 1/2 c all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c mashed bananas (about 2 medium bananas)
1/2 c sour cream
1 stick butter
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
HOW TO MAKE BANANA BREAD CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Step 1: Heat the butter in a small saucepan until browned and nutty.
Step 2: Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the sugars. Let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes. Shift this into a large mixing bowl and add in the egg and vanilla. Mix well before adding in the banana and sour cream. Mix some more until well combined.
Step 3: In a separate bowl, add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add this into the banana mixture and mix well until incorporated.
Step 4: Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using). Add raisins, toffee bits, pecans, if desired.
Step 5: Set the dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes until sticky.
Step 6: Form the dough into an inch ball and place on the cookie sheets at least 2-inches apart from each other.
Step 7: Bake in the oven for about 10 to 13 minutes at 350 degrees or until the edges of the cookies are brown.
