CATCH A HUSBAND CAKE

by Sheryl

A gorgeous cake, white as a wedding dress with an amazing coconut flavor that will melt your heart. I will say I do over and over again to this delicious cake.

This is a very straightforward cake, simple to make, with just a few simple ingredients mainly coconut. Even if you’re not a pro you can be able to make this cake. I made it first a few years back, I was just starting to like baking and I saw this exact recipe online. And because I am a fan of coconut I thought it’s perfect. It’s surprising how I was able to pull it off. Everybody loved it! Coconuts are lovely, creamy, and refreshing. And I can say the same for this thick, creamy cake with flaky coconut frosting. What not to love? This cake is perfect!

INGREDIENTS

For the Cake

1 can condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup coconut milk
500 grams flour (2½ cups)
1/2 cup sugar
3 large whole eggs
3 tablespoons margarine

For the Icing

1 cup coconut milk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup shredded coconut

HOW TO MAKE CATCH A HUSBAND CAKE

To make the Cake

Step 1: In a blender, place the condensed milk, evaporated milk, coconut milk, flour, sugar, eggs, and margarine. Blend until well combined.

Step 2: Transfer the cake mixture in a greased and floured bundt pan.

Step 3: Place inside the oven and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 to 60 minutes depending on your oven until golden brown.

Step 4: To check the doneness, insert a toothpick. Remove the cake from the oven when the toothpick inserted comes out clean.

To make the Icing

Step 1: In a saucepan, place the coconut milk, sugar, and grated coconut. Bring to a boil while occasionally stirring.

Step 2: Remove from the heat and let the icing cool a little before pouring it over the hot cake. The icing will look like a condensed milk. Enjoy!
