Cheesy Mashed Potato Bake

by 247tasty

Are you looking for a new and cheesy food to eat today? Then, you have come to the right page. Today’s recipe is called Cheesy Mashed Potato Bake. Feel hungry already? This is my go-to food whenever I crave for potatoes. I am done with the regular french fries or just plain mashed potatoes that’s why I looked for new recipes online. As luck would have it, the first recipe I found was this. I immediately tried and it and I am so glad that I did because I never would have tasted perfection. By the way, be very generous when it comes to the amount of cheese. More cheese means more creaminess and more delicious. Feel free to add ground meat as well or bacon. I heard that it works well with this recipe. I just prefer not to because I usually eat this with steak or burgers so I don’t need more meat. Anyway, I hope you all love this recipe. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

2 cups leftover mashed potatoes
1/4 cup grated cheddar
1/4 cup grated Mexican cheese mix
1 pinch grated cheddar
1 pinch grated Mexican cheese mix
salt and pepper to taste
1 egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs, dry (maybe a little less)

How to make Cheesy Mashed Potato Bake

Step 1: In a medium bowl, add in the potatoes, egg, bread crumbs, 1/4 cup of each cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until well-mixed.

Step 2: Brush a pat of butter into the glass pie dish for extra flavor and to prevent the potatoes from sticking.

Step 3: Pour in the mixture into the baking dish and spread.

Step 4: Sprinkle with the rest of the cheeses.

Step 5: Place inside the oven and bake at 400 degrees C for 30 minutes or until cooked through and the cheese has melted completely.

Step 6: Remove from the oven and let it sit on a wire rack to cool for 3 to 5 minutes.

Step 7: Serve warm and enjoy!
