Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

The sauce alone of this Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo is more than enough to let you know that you are in for a treat! This dish is loaded with delicious ingredients. From the chicken to the shredded cheese, everything about this is just perfect!

Ingredients:

The Chicken

1 tablespoon Butter
2 tablespoons Oil, vegetable, canola, or light olive oil
1/4 teaspoon Smoked paprika
2 large Chicken breasts 1.5 pounds
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
1 & 1/2 teaspoons Kosher salt

The Alfredo Sauce

1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 & 1/2 c Shredded Parmesan cheese
5 cloves of Garlic Minced
1 & 1/4 teaspoons Kosher salt
3/4 c Butter
1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
2 c Heavy cream
1/8 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

The fettuccine

12 oz. Fettuccine
Water
1 tablespoon Kosher salt

Garnish

Chopped parsley
Parmesan cheese

Directions:

Horizontally slice each chicken breast.

In a mixing bowl, add 1/4 teaspoon of paprika, 1 14 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper. Whisk everything until well incorporated. Sprinkle the mixture on top of the chicken breasts, then rub each to coat.

Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high. Add 2 tablespoons of oil and allow it to become hot.

Add the chicken breasts into the hot pan, then cook one side for about 3 minutes.

Turn the chicken over, then add 1 tablespoon of butter. Cook for 2 more minutes. Move them to a clean plate.

Refer to the directions provided on the package of the fettuccine on how to cook it. Drain and set aside.

For the Alfredo Sauce:

Add butter to the same pan and allow it to melt. Stir in the minced garlic and saute for about a minute or just until aromatic.

Stir in the cream and seasonings until well blended. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the pan to get the browned bits.

Simmer the mixture for about 3 minutes.

Reduce the heat to medium-low, then scatter the shredded cheese into the pan. Stir until melted completely.

Put the cooked fettuccine into the pan and toss to coat with the delicious sauce. Remove from the heat.

Cut the chicken into small strips.

Top each serving of the fettuccine with chicken strips, shredded Parmesan cheese, and freshly chopped parsley.

Serve right away. Enjoy!
