Chicken Wonton Tacos

by 247tasty

These incredible little pieces of meat heaven will give you a big smile today! I learned about this recipe when I was still living in Chicago. A friend of mine gave this recipe and I have been using it ever since. It is food that you will never get tired of eating. It’s like every bite is so good that you want to follow it up with another one. By the way, if you do not have green cabbage, you can use red cabbage instead and if you happen to have turkey instead of chicken, you can use it as a substitute. You can also use yogurt as a substitute for coleslaw. I occasionally add red pepper flakes for that additional spicy flavor. Anyway,y I hope you all love this recipe. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

⅓ head red cabbage, sliced and chopped
4 small carrots, peeled and grated
¼ cup coleslaw dressing
¼ cup red wine vinegar

1 pound ground chicken
¼ cup stir-fry sauce
14 wonton wrappers

Step 3: Ready the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 4: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Step 5: Add in the ground chicken and cook and stir for 5 to 7 minutes or until the color turns brown the texture becomes crumbly.

Step 6: Pour in the stir-fry sauce then cover the skillet. Turn the heat down to low and allow it to simmer.

Step 7: Turn into taco shapes the wonton wrappers. Place them in an inverted muffin tin.

Step 8: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for 4 to 5 minutes or until the color turns light brown and the texture becomes firm.

Step 9: Use a spoon to transfer the chicken mixture into the wonton taco shell. Spoon about 2 or 3 tablespoons of the mixture.

Step 10: Add the coleslaw on top of each wonton taco shell.

Step 11: Serve and enjoy!
