Ingredients

1 stick (1/2 c.) unsalted butter, cold & cubed
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese )
1 c. buttermilk

Topping:

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon Parsley

How to make Copycat Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuits

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees. Using parchment paper, line a baking sheet and set it aside.

Step 2: Add the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne to a medium-sized bowl, and mix well until combined. Then, add the cold cubed butter and blend into the flour mixture with a pastry blender or two forks until you have a mixture that resembles coarse sand and the butter is the size of peas.

Step 3: To the mixture, add the buttermilk and mix well until blended. Then, add the cheese and gently mix until incorporated.

Step 4: Scoop balls of the dough with a large cookie or ice cream scoop (about 1/4 c.) and place the balls on the prepared baking sheet at least 2 inches apart.

Step 5: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes or until the biscuits are set and lightly golden.

Step 6: To make the topping, melt the butter. Stir in the garlic powder and parsley once the butter has melted.

Step 7: Remove the biscuits from the oven when done and spoon some of the butter mixtures over each warm biscuit.

Step 8: Serve right away. Keep any leftovers in an airtight container. Pop in a 350 degrees oven to reheat for about 5 to 10 minutes or until heated through.

Note:

Buttermilk substitute: In 1 c. measuring cup, place 1 tbsp butter and fill the cup with milk. Allow this to stand for about 10 minutes before using.
