Cream Cheese Kolacky

by 247tasty

These flaky mini pastries are fun to make. You can put just about anything from apricot, raspberry, prune, almond, poppy seed, and sweet cheese. Even strawberry, blueberry, and pineapple. The dough is made with cream cheese and butter and it bakes amazing – buttery and flaky. Kolackies are very versatile, not only that it goes with anything but you can shape it round, square, or diamond-shaped. It is a bit of work to make but they are not difficult to whip up. This I think is one of the simplest pastries I know. These kolackies are commonly seen during holidays or special occasions but are great all year round. The kids adored these tinies and these are pretty to give as gifts. These littles are amazing, sweet, delicious, and you can experiment on your filling choice. I think it is great because you’ll get not only two flavors but a lot in these little things.
