This recipe was made easy with the use of a crockpot! Slow-cooked to perfection for about 5 hours, this recipe is surely a must-try! The best part is that you will only need 3 ingredients to make it! Yes, you read it right! The ingredients are mainly, chicken, gravy mix, and cream of chicken soup. The broth is just optional! Serve it over cooked rice, and you have yourself a meal to remember! With 6 servings, everyone gets to taste how delicious this dish is! I promise you that 5 hours of cooking time is so worth it. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
hot steamed rice
1/2 c water or chicken broth, optional
2 (0.87 ounces) envelopes of chicken gravy mix
3 to 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 (10.5 ounces) can cream of chicken soup
Directions:
Sprinkle salt and pepper over chicken breasts, then rub each until fully coated. Place them into the slow cooker and arrange them in a single layer.
In a mixing bowl, add water, soup, and gravy mix. Stir everything until well blended. Add the mixture into the slow cooker on top of the chicken breasts.
Cover and seal the slow cooker, then cook everything for about 4 to 6 hours on a low setting.
Open the slow cooker, then use a spatula to break the chicken into small cuts.
Serve right away over cooked rice. Enjoy!
Notes:
Feel free to use chicken tenderloins or chicken thighs for this recipe instead of chicken breasts.
You can also use frozen chicken breasts if you like. You will just add a few minutes of cooking them.
Feel free to add frozen veggies to this dish.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then put them in the fridge. Reheat for a few minutes before serving again.
