Easy Sweetened Condensed Milk Chocolate Pie

I was filing up a form yesterday, and one of the questions was about my favourite pie. I immediately thought of this easy Sweetened Condensed Milk Chocolate Pie. The perfect pie for any occasion. Incredibly easy and quick to whip up. I can even easily switch up the crust with either an Oreo or graham crust whenever I feel too. Also, make it milkier by substituting semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk chocolate chips. Make your dessert fun with this luscious pie, and do not forget to top it with a dollop of whipped topping or ice cream with some chocolate shavings for more flavour!

Ingredients

Crust:

1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1-1/2 c. crushed Nilla Wafers
1 stick butter (melted)
1/3 c. powdered sugar

Pie Filling:

6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips (melted)
8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
2 Eggs
1-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
14 oz. can sweeten condensed milk

How to make Easy Sweetened Condensed Milk Chocolate Pie

Crust:

Step 1: Place the Nilla Wafers in a Ziploc bag, then crush them.

Step 2: Into a medium-sized bowl, add the crushed Nilla Wafers, cocoa, and powdered sugar. Using a whisk, mix the ingredients until incorporated.

Step 3: To the Nilla Wafer mixture, add the melted butter and beat using an electric mixer.

Step 4: Pour the crust into a greased 9-inch pie pan, then set aside.

Pie Filling:

Step 5: Meanwhile, prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.

Step 6: To a large bowl, add the softened cream cheese and mix until creamy. Then, add the sweetened condensed milk and mix well.

Step 7: For approximately 50 seconds, melt the chocolate chips, stirring at a 30-second mark. Then, add this to the mixture along with the eggs and vanilla extract. Stir well until combined.

Step 8: Into the pie crust, pour the chocolate mixture. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 to 35 minutes.

Step 9: When done, remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

1. Substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk chocolate chips if you like a more milk chocolatey flavour.

2. For extra flavour, top the pie with a dollop of whipped topping or ice cream when serving. Feel free to even add some chocolate shavings over the whipped cream for more fun!

3. Other options for the crust is an Oreo or graham crust.
