Just a little history about this recipe, before Wally Amos this introduces this famous homemade chocolate chip cookies, he worked in the mailroom at the William Morris talent agency and soon became the first African-American talent agent in the agency. His approach of sending his recipe to the performers paved the way for him to get Diana Ross and The Supremes as clients. In 1975, after perfecting his recipe, Wally launched his own cookie company, and his business boomed with the use of the most effective marketing, which is word of mouth. It just shows that anyone can be successful with determination and faith you can do anything if you set your mind towards your goal.
My friend started selling baked goods and introduce me to this recipe. Once, she visited me and brought some baked goods for taste testing, there are shiny with glaze, some with frosting, but my eyes were glued to this cookie. It is not because it looks delicious but because it was too plain for me. I was hesitant to try this one, but I had to try it because it was a taste test. It looks unappetizing, but it turns out to be one of the most delicious cookies I ever had. I was shocked that it tastes so good, truly you should not judge anything based on its appearance, or you’ll regret it.
