Enjoy quality burgers in the comfort of your home! These things are made with breaded fish fillet, tartare sauce, and cheese in toasted buns! Don’t wait another minute not knowing how delicious they are. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

4 soft buns, brioche recommended
4 slices processed cheese
Oil spray (I use olive oil)
2 c panko breadcrumbs
400-500 grams /0.8 – 1 pound white fish fillets, flat/thin

DREDGE BATTER

1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon dijon mustard (or other mustard)
1 Egg
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon mayonnaise

TARTARE SAUCE:

1 teaspoon capers, drained and finely chopped
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 c / 220 grams mayonnaise
1.5 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh (or cider vinegar)
1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon dill pickle/gherkin/ cornichon, very finely chopped

Directions:

For the Tartare Sauce:

In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the tartare sauce. Stir everything until well blended. Let it rest for at least 10 minutes.

For the Breadcrumbs:

Prepare the oven and preheat it to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.

Scatter the breadcrumbs onto a baking tray, then apply oil on top.

Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake the breadcrumbs for about 3 to 5 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

Remove the breadcrumbs from the oven and move them into a mixing bowl.

Apply cooking spray to the same tray.

To Bake:

Slice the fish into cubes.

In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the batter. Stir everything until well combined.

Add the fish fillets into the bowl with the batter, then toss to coat. Put them into the bowl with the breadcrumbs, then toss again to coat. Shake off any excess. Put them into the tray and arrange them in a single layer.

Place the tray in the oven and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes.

Add cheese over each fish fillet and let it melt.

To Assemble:

Slice each bun into two, and lay them onto another baking tray. Put them in the microwave and heat them for about 20 seconds just until they warm enough.

Add fish, cheese, and tartare sauce over a bun and top it with another one. Make sure to arrange the ingredients in layers.

Serve and enjoy!
