I can eat Salisbury Steak every day without complaining! I love how this dish makes my mouth water, it is super savoury, and every bite is satisfying! And this Homemade Salisbury Steak is the best one I ever tasted!

Ingredients

1-pound lean ground beef
⅓ cup dry bread crumbs
¼ cup chopped onions
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups beef broth
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons water

How to Make the Best Homemade Salisbury Steak

Step 1: Combine the ground beef, chopped onion, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and pepper in a medium mixing bowl until well mixed. Then, make 4 3/4-inch thick patties.

Step 2: Add the patties on a large skillet over medium heat. Pan-fry for about 10 minutes or until brown.

Step 3: Pour in the broth, then add in the mushrooms and onions. Bring to a boil. Adjust the heat to low and continue to simmer for about 10 minutes or until the patties are cooked through.

Step 4: Once done, transfer the cooked patties to a clean plate and allow to cool at room temperature.

Step 5: Meanwhile, let the onion mix boil.

Step 6: Mix the cornstarch with water in a small bowl until combined and pour this over the onion mixture. Allow cooking for a minute more or until the sauce is thick.

Step 7: Once done, pour the sauce over the patties and spread before serving. Enjoy!

Step 8: In a small bowl, add the cornstarch and water. Stir until well mixed then pour the mixture into the onion mixture.
