Classic is always the best, and most of the time, we don’t want to mess with them. They are perfect as is, and they have undying history. Just like this recipe, I watched my mom made this, said she watched her mom as well prepare this for them. This is a legit classic with all the right flavours and texture in a mouthful! So good, you’ll never turn your back until it’s all gone!
1 ½ cups macaroni
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
½ cup chopped green bell pepper
¼ cup chopped celery
3 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion
8 eaches cherry tomatoes
1 cup mayonnaise
salt and pepper to taste
¼ teaspoon Beau Monde ™ seasoning
HOW TO MAKE MACARONI AND CHEESE SALAD
Step 1: Bring to a boil a large pot of salted water over high heat. Cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and rinse in cold water.
Step 2: Add the cooked pasta to a large mixing bowl and pour over the vinegar. Mix until coated and sit for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 3: Then, add in the cheese, green onions, tomatoes, mayonnaise, peppers, and seasonings and mix until incorporated.
Step 4: Chill in the fridge for at least an hour before serving. Enjoy!
