This is the most versatile salad recipe. You can add just about anything you like from green onions, mushrooms, avocado, tomatoes, etc. And this is a breeze to make. All you need to do is mix all the ingredients, place in the fridge to chill and serve. This can be an awesome side or dessert with a scoop of ice cream. This recipe is so simple, this requires only four ingredients; vanilla instant pudding, crushed pineapple, mandarin oranges, and cool whip. Then again, you can put anything and this it’s going to as amazing. This Mandarin Orange Salad is so refreshing, insanely delicious, sweet, and tangy. This is so incredible! Neither a salad nor side to brag. This is so much fun to make, you can even the kids to help. Try it and I am sure everyone will love it!
1 pkg Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix (use dry) I would use sugar-free
1 large can Crushed Pineapple (undrained)
2 medium/Large cans Mandarin Oranges (drained)
1 pkg Cool Whip 8 oz ( and you could use fat-free)
How to make Mandarin Orange Salad
Step 1: Combine the cool whip with the dry vanilla pudding.
Step 2: Add in the undrained crushed pineapple and 2 cans of drained Mandarin oranges into the cool whip-vanilla pudding mixture. You can use as many mandarin oranges you’d like or less depending on your preference. Save some for decoration. Place in the fridge for a few hours to thicken or until you are ready to use it.
Step 3: This is great as a side dish with a meal or serves with a scoop of ice cream as a dessert.
Step 4: For a healthier alternative, choose low or no-sugar instant pudding mix or cool whip and some fresh mandarins.
NOTE: I like to use the whipped cool whip but you can use whatever suits you best.
