Best serve over burritos or nachos, this Mexican White Cheese Dip or Sauce is your new best friend. Made with a few simple ingredients, mostly pantry essential, and ready in less than 15 minutes. A quality dip or sauce that’s made from scratch. No more buying the bottled one because now you can make your favourite dip at home. Take out? Nah! You’ll never think of any excuse not to make this because it’s pretty straightforward, not fussy, and quick. A real life-changing recipe for all Mexican dish lovers out there (including myself). Smooth, creamy, cheesy dip/sauce that’s perfect for dipping, nachos, and pouring over your favourite Tex-Mex dishes.

Ingredients

1-pound white American cheese, cubed
½ cup milk, or as needed
1 tbsp of butter or margarine
2 (4 oz) cans chopped green chillies
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 pinch cayenne pepper to taste

HOW TO MAKE MEXICAN WHITE CHEESE DIP/SAUCE

Step 1: Place the butter, milk, and cheese in a medium saucepan over low heat. Cook until the cheese has melted, stirring constantly to ward off from sticking.

Step 2: Stir in the cumin, garlic powder, green chillies, cayenne pepper, and onion pepper until incorporated.

Step 3: If the dip is too thick, add in some more milk. Adjust according to your liking. Continue to simmer until heated through.

Step 4: Once done, allow to cool at room temperature.

Step 5: Best serve over burritos or nachos. Enjoy!
