Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge

by 247tasty

I love how simple this recipe is! This is a no-bake Chocolate fudge by the way. All you need to do is to follow these steps and you are good to go! Let’s do it old fashioned style! I always make this every time my kids ask for it which is pretty much all the time. Since the first time they have tasted this, it became their favorite. It’s a good thing that I always have all the ingredients every time! What they love about this specific recipe of chocolate fudge is its moist inside. It’s different from the other cakes that are baked in the oven. I don’t know, I will always do it the old way because for me it’s perfect! Wanna find out if what I’m saying is true? You just have to give it a try. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to make Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge

Step 1: Apply cooking spray in an 8 x 8-inch square baking pan then set aside.

Step 2: In a medium saucepan, add cocoa, milk, and sugar. Stir until well-mixed and blended.

Step 3: Place the saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Step 4: Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring continuously.

Step 5: Turn the heat to low and simmer.

Step 6: Use a candy thermometer to check the temperature of the pan. ( Make sure that it reaches 114 degrees C or 238 degrees F. If you do not have a thermometer, drop a little of the mixture in cold water and see if it forms a softball. Check the consistency of the ball and when it flattens when pressed, then you are good to go! )

Step 7: Turn off the stove and remove the pan.

Step 8: Add the vanilla extract and butter on top. Use a wooden spoon to beat.

Step 9: Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan and allow it to cool.

Step 10: Slice it into around 60 squares.

Step 11: Serve and enjoy!
